Meet Mrs. Coy

For some, choosing a career is difficult. For others, like myself, the choice is natural and obvious. Prior to entering college I knew I wanted to be a teacher. This choice can be traced back to my days in fourth grade when I was fortunate enough to be placed in Ms. Miller’s classroom. Her fresh energy, caring demeanor, and high academic expectations were all things that attracted me to her personality and her profession. Since becoming an educator, I strive to provide my students with the same experience that Ms. Miller provided for me. 

I received my Bachelors and Teaching Credential from California State University, Long Beach and my Masters in Education from California State University, Fullerton. Since my teaching career began in 2009, I have taught both 3rd and 5th grade, in both California and Connecticut, and in both private and public schools. 

I am thrilled to be a part of the Fountain Valley School District! I am also thrilled to be a Courreges Cougar!!
