Welcome

I have been teaching in the Fountain Valley School District for 15 years. I started my career in a 5th grade classroom at Moiola Elementary. I have been teaching at Courreges for the past four years. I grew up in Fountain Valley and attended Mater Dei High School. I received my BA in English, Creative Writing from Cal State Long Beach. I am a Fellow of the UCI Writing Project,2008, a Cotsen Fellow and I am a District Trainer for Thinking Maps and the Write From the Beginning Program. I've been married for 25 years and have two children. My daughter is working on her MBA in Writing at Cal State Fullerton and my son is graduating from Mater Dei High School and his adventures are just beginning! I'm passionate about writing and history and enjoy the challenge of creating a very visual, creative environment from which my students can thrive and excel.
