"My values as a leader are grounded in a deep commitment to student well-being, equity, and the belief that every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and connected at school," said Ms. Taylor.
Her career spans over three decades of dedicated service to public education. She served the West Covina Unified School District as an elementary school principal and later as the Director of K-12 Instructional Programs. She also held roles within the Los Angeles Unified School District as a literacy coach, compliance advisor, and teacher.
In addition to her district leadership, Ms. Taylor is a prominent voice in state-level educational advocacy. She is active with the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and serves as the President of the ACSA Early Childhood Education Council.
Superintendent Stopp expressed her confidence in Ms. Taylor’s comprehensive expertise. "We are thrilled to bring Tandy Taylor's name forward to our Board. Her unique blend of curriculum insight and student services expertise will be an asset to our TK-8 community."
Ms. Taylor will officially assume her new role on July 1, 2026.
