Roots of Success: A Special Arbor Day Gift for Courreges!

Courreges Elementary continues to celebrate a half-century of excellence, and this week, that milestone was marked with a beautiful new addition to the campus landscape. In a joint celebration of Arbor Day and the school’s 50th Anniversary, the City of Fountain Valley gifted a commemorative tree to the Courreges community.

Third-grade students were treated to a special outdoor presentation by Fountain Valley city officials, including Mayor Jim Cunneen and members of the City Council. The event focused on the vital role trees play in our local ecosystem and the shared responsibility we have to care for our environment.

The "Cougars" were eager to learn about the science of tree growth and the importance of civic partnership. This meaningful donation from the Department of Public Works not only beautifies the campus but serves as a living legacy for future generations of students. We are incredibly grateful to the City of Fountain Valley for their continued support and for helping us "root" our students in community pride!
